Becoming a member of the Milton First Aid Squad
Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of the Milton First Aid Squad. If you're reading this page, you are quite possibly interested in learning more about the requirements to become a member of our organization.
First and foremost, all of our members are volunteers. We are a completely Volunteer organization, and our members are not compensated for their time. If interested in joining, please email the Chief at, Chief@Miltonfirstaidsquad.org
Our members are trained as:
EMTs (Emergency Medical Technicians)
Certified in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation).
All training is provided at no cost to the members.
Membership Information
No experience is necessary- training is provided.
Day and night shifts available - Flexible hours
We have a great Cadet Corps -, minimum age to join is 16.
Cadet Corps:
Members age 16-18
Ride 3 hour shifts each week (usually 3 PM - 6 PM or 6 PM - 9 PM. Plus 4 hours on a weekend every 5 weeks.
Trained in CPR and emergency response. Eligible for EMT certification training
Respond on Emergency calls and assist Senior Squad Members with patient care/needs.
Cadet members also participate in monthly training drills and assist the Senior Squad members with weekend rig checks, including inventory of medical supplies, upkeep of the equipment and rig cleaning.
Active members:
Members age 18 and UP
Must be medically/physically able to fulfill the duties
Complete and submit application and meet with the Membership Committee.
Be fingerprinted by the Jefferson Police Department and pass background check.
Complete minimum training requirements
Equipment and training provided at no cost
Successfully complete a 6 month probationary period
Eligible for EMT training after completion of probation
