Welcome to The Milton First Aid Squad.
Our organization is a fully volunteer BLS provider dedicated to providing the community of Milton/Oak Ridge and our surrounding communities with 911 medical services when called upon. The Corps operates 24 hours a day 365 days a year. All riding members are certified first responders, or EMTs.. Our members are trained to the highest standards for basic life support.
Our organization is funded by both the Township of Jefferson and by donations. All donations are used for community outreach, equipment, training and various functional expenditures. Our members are all proud and dedicated volunteers.

Interested in Volunteering
At the Milton First Aid Squad we always welcome new members to join us. Members of the Milton First Aid Squad enjoy the benefits of knowing they are providing the community with medical assistance in their time of need.

Once you submit your application our membership committee will be review your information and get in touch with you to arrange for an interview.
The Milton First Aid Squad accompanied Milton Fire Company 1 to the Morris County Fire Academy. Company 1 was training in a live burn environment. The Squad is there to support the Fire company, address any injuries, and conduct Fire Rehab after they come out of the building. The live burn is not a controlled environment. It is a room set on fire and the fire company must find the fire, extingust it, and recover the victims.
The Milton First Aid Squad with Milton Fire Company One recently held a joint drill sharping their skills with extricating a patient that is trapped in a car due to an MVA. Both departments worked together to safely remove the car away from the trapped patient and then get them out of the car.
The Milton First Aid Squad participated in a drill on Lake Hopatcong practicing removing a patient off of the Miss Latta cruise ship. In the event of an emergency or a customer needing help, First Responders from Jefferson Rescue, and Fire Companies One and Two practice moving the patient off the ship onto Fire Companies rescue boat.
The Milton First Aid Squad provided EMS support at Jefferson Fest. The squad set up a tent and provided immediate care to anyone attending the event and needed EMS services. The squad also provided an ambulance for all to walk through and ask questions.
September 5, 2019 New member interest meeting
The Squad will be hosting a meeting on September 5, 2019 at 7:00 PM for individuals 18 years of age and older that are interested in joining the squad. During this meeting we will explain requirements of becoming a member and answer any questions the group may have. Anyone who is interested in joining after the meeting will be enrolled in a First Responder EMS course that will be held at our headquarters, Please see below foe more information
September 9, 2019 Emergency Responder course
The Squad will be conducting an Emergency Responder course for any individual 18 years of age or older that is interested in joining. This is a nationally recognized certification for riding on an ambulance. This course will introduce individual to life saving first aid, and CPR. After completing this course you will be assigned a shift to ride regularly with the squad.
September 21, 2019 Bingo
The Squad will be hosting Bingo at our headquarters, 45 Milton Rd. Doors will open at 6:30 PM, first game will be called starting at 7:00 PM. The cost is $20.00 per person. Refreshments and snacks are provided. Cards for each game are included. First come, first served, seating is limited.
September 28, 2019 Blood drive
The Squad will be hosting a blood drive at our headquarters, 45 Milton Rd from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Anyone can donate as long as you weigh over 110 pounds.
Clothing shed donations
The Milton First Aid Squad would like to remind residents that the clothing donation shed behind the squad building serves several good purposes.
Turnkey is a New Jersey based small business, clothing is never shredded into rags, and residents have a convenient way to give their old clothes a second life. Finally, the Milton First Aid squad receives proceeds from your donation.
